Have you noticed an increase in ads for weight loss programs and organizing supplies lately, or is it just me? It seems like there’s a big push to make September the new January. Maybe it's because there is a New Moon today or just our obsession with starting new things, but this pressure to start fresh got me thinking about why I started Light 56 back in April 2021: I wanted a space for accountability that wasn’t about weight loss but more about the hopes, dreams and tiny habits we all wanted to build.
It has evolved into a safe space where you can rumble with the balance of being enough while also making positive changes - a place for like-minded women to gather, support each other, stay accountable as we work toward feeling lighter in body, mind, space, and spirit and make time for ourselves to have a little fun!
Feeling lighter looks different for everyone, and it can change with each season. Unlike many support groups, Light 56 isn’t about diets or rigid rules; it’s about practice, learning, progress, and staying committed—even if you miss a day. It’s about knowing you are enough, on the days with lots of progress but also on the days with no progress.
Each person’s practices look different, which reduces competition and comparison and often leads to inspiration. Feeling lighter generally happens when you practice some combination of gratitude, joy, progress, confidence, calm and bright & fully alive. Here are some habits Light 56ers have embraced:

I’m sharing all of this with you today as you might be rumbling with wanting to make a change or start something new. If so, here are a few reminders:
